How should it sit?
The cut ratio
The curvy fit waist-to-hip ratio
Faza trousers are cut to a curvy fit waist-to-hip ratio of 32 to 43 cm. A Faza size M measures 71 cm at the waist and 112 cm at the hip, a 41 cm difference. Every trouser size is graded from that ratio rather than scaled up from a straight block, which is what keeps the waistband closed at the back.

Faza pleated skirts run wider still, at a 48 to 54 cm difference. All figures are finished garment measurements, not body measurements.
How to measure
For best accuracy, measure over thin clothing or directly on the body. Keep the tape level, snug but not tight.
Bust
Around the fullest part of the bust, with the tape level.
Waist
Around the narrowest part of the natural waist.
Hip
Around the fullest part of the hips, ~18 cm below the waist.
Trouser Length
From the natural waist down to the floor, along the side of the leg.

What is a waist-to-hip difference?
The waist-to-hip difference is the gap in centimetres between a garment's waist measurement and its hip measurement. A trouser with a 25 cm difference is drafted for a straighter body; one with a 40 cm difference is drafted for a defined waist above fuller hips. It is the single number that decides whether a waistband gaps at the back.
How do I know if I need a curvy fit?
Measure your natural waist and the fullest part of your hips, then subtract. If the difference is more than about 30 cm, standard trouser blocks will usually fit your hips and gap at your waist. Faza trousers are cut at a 32 to 43 cm difference, so that gap is designed out rather than tailored out afterwards.
Which size do I choose if my waist and hip fall in different sizes?
Choose by hip. The Faza waistband is drafted with the larger difference already built in, so sizing to the hip will not leave the waist loose. If you sit between two sizes, size down for a more defined waist.
