The Amara Suit
The peak-lapel blazer and the trouser, one line
The Amara Suit is the double-breasted peak-lapel blazer and the high-waisted trouser, cut in the same matte banana crepe and worn as one line from shoulder to floor.
Wide peak lapels roll low to a single row of two buttons at the waist, so the eye goes to the nipped middle rather than the shoulder. The shoulder is lightly built and level, not a power shoulder. Below the hip-length hem and its two closed side vents, the trouser takes the line at the natural waist and carries it wide and straight to a floor-grazing hem. The crepe is matte and dry to the hand, and it holds the lapel flat.
The blazer and the trouser were drafted together, off the same block and cut from one length of cloth in a single colour lot. Nothing has to be matched afterwards. The line runs from the lapel roll through the waist to the floor and never breaks.
