The Celeste Aureate Blazer

The Celeste Aureate is the everyday Celeste in pale gold. Same single-breasted front, same narrow peak lapels, same hard square shoulder, cut in matte banana crepe and drawn for the curvy body.

Two domed buttons sit stacked one above the other on the centre line, low at the waist, and the lapels roll down to meet them in one long unbroken V. The buttons are a soft pale champagne gold, their faces worked in fine close-set lines that catch light quietly rather than flash it — the only metal on a matte cloth. Four of the same run up each cuff. The waist draws in sharply under the ribs before the hip releases into a clean flare, and the back opens on two vents that let the flare move.

Square at the shoulder, hard at the waist, open at the hip. The gold is small and it is everywhere it needs to be.
